Wijntransport was founded on the 24th of October by Leendert Diterwich, born out of his passion for wine and his conviction thatgood wine does not have to be expensive. His 25 years worth of experience as a shopkeeper enable him and Wijntransport to identify with the customer.

In 2000 he sold his store in order to focus completely on Wijntransport. After more than 30 years Wijntransport developed into a solid and reliable partner of liquor stores, specialist wine shops and the wholesale hospitality business in The Netherlands and Germany with a focus on (but certainly not limited to) the lower and middle segment of the market.

Wine is a people's business
Despite the fact the wine business is becoming more complex, fast moving and smaller Wijntransport values business relations highly. For both our customers and suppliers we prefer long term business relationships. In our opinion these customer relations create a solid trust basis resulting in sustainable business value and enable us to quickly respond to new market developments. The wine business is built on trust.
